Dad First, Always
Of all the titles he has held—CEO, founder, entrepreneur—none comes close to his favorite: Dad. He has two amazing daughters, now 23 and 22, who live in Minneapolis and St. Pete, Florida, and they have been part of the FloWater story from the very beginning. When the company was just starting out, they were by his side helping count money from Refill Stations at summer festivals, riding along on road trips for things he no longer gets to do, like changing filters in customer locations, and supporting him through a lot of travel and some pretty gnarly work hours that often extended well into the nights and most weekends.
They have always been in the mix with their sleeves rolled up, and they’ve seen firsthand what it means to build something from the ground up. More than anything, he’s grateful that they shared those moments as a family, and deeply appreciative of the patience they showed while he navigated the challenges of starting and running a company, all while doing his best to be a good dad (a balance he admits he didn’t always get right).
